Sex Therapy

Therapy for when intimacy, sexuality, or relationships feel difficult or confusing.

You may find yourself functioning well in many areas of life, yet feeling confused, disconnected, or dissatisfied when it comes to intimacy, relationships, or sexuality.

This might show up as pain during sex, difficulties with arousal, desire, erection, ejaculation, or feeling disconnected from your body during intimacy. Perhaps desire feels distant or difficult, intimacy brings up anxiety or shame, or you notice the same relationship patterns repeating - even when you understand them intellectually.

Sex therapy offers space where we work specifically with sexual difficulties - understanding how emotional, relational, and bodily factors interact, while also using practical therapeutic approaches to support change.

About Sexual Difficulties

How therapy with me works:

My approach is collaborative, relational, and trauma-informed.

I see sexual difficulties as woven into our emotions, relationships, and body, and I focus on our work being integrated rather than “treating” any issues in isolation.

I also understand the importance of both talking about sexual issues and working with practical strategies. Where appropriate, I may offer practical exercises for you to try at home between our sessions, which can support the therapeutic process. These are aways guided by what feels safe for you and what resonates with you.

How I work

Our work may include:

  • Exploring sexual difficulties such as pain, desire, erections, or orgasm concerns

  • Understanding how anxiety, stress, trauma, or relationship dynamics may contribute

  • Developing greater awareness and connection with your body and sense of safety

  • Incorporating practical exercises focused on the specific sexual difficulties you’re experiencing

  • Creating space for open conversations about how your wider life affects your sexual life and intimacy

  • Using creative approaches, such as imagery, metaphor, or art if desired

We always, always work collaboratively and at a pace that feels safe. I see this work as tender and not easy, but rewarding and empowering.
